Body Worn Camera Contract Signed by Ministry of National Security

The ceremony for the contract signing for the acquisition of Body Worn Camera for the Royal Bahamas Police Force was held at the Paul Farquharson Conference Center on Tuesday 14th January, 2020. The Honourable Marvin Dames,, Commissioner Anthony Ferguson and his Senior Executive Leadership Team, Permanent Secretary Eugene Poitier, Charge' d' Affaires, Stephanie Bowers, Fr. Stephen Davies, Force Chaplain, Bishop Delton Fernander, President of the Christian Council, Mr. Paul Farquharson, Commissioner of Police (Retired), Senior Officers, other invited guests and members of the media were present for the historic event.

The contract was awarded to AE Tactical. Mr. Luke Hadeed, Managing Director for the company brought brief remarks; thanking the government of the Bahamas for having confidence in his company and for the partnership. He added that this acquisition signifies the largest number of cameras deployed in this hemisphere.

The Honourable Marvin Dames in his address stated that the government has mandated to keep the citizens of the Bahamas safe through the use of cutting-edge technology. He added that this contract signing will promote security, transparency and accountability for police officers and members of the public.

Chief Superintendent Zhivargo Dames in his vote of thanks; acknowledged all of the stakeholders for working tirelessly to bring this day to fruition.
